The regional health economy initiative -Life Sciences, Lower Saxony- BioRegioN is the central contact point for Life Sciences in Lower Saxony. It connects partners from economy, science and politics with the goal to transfer the high potential of excellent research findings to an early commercialization, promote settlements and sustainably strengthen the Life Science location Lower Saxony.

The BioRegioN is the regional health economy initiative for Life Sciences of the Ministry for Economics, Labour and Transport of Lower Saxony. The BioRegioN connects, advises and supports companies, universities, research institutes and many other players in the areas of health economy, biotechnology and biomedical engineering in Lower Saxony. The aim is a sustainable protection of the business- and innovation location in the international competition. On behalf of the Ministry for Economics, Labour and Transport of Lower Saxony the Centre for Biomedical Technology and Innovation (BiomeTI) e.V. runs the office of the BioRegioN.
